How to request a refund
After a while, the app is 'forgotten' from your Apple ID meaning you won't be able to reinstall the app without paying. At least, that's what happened when I got a refund for Tweetbot for Mac. I could reinstall it for about a month, but then one day the price reappeared on the Mac App Store. Apps will be intermixed with other content available from Apple, so if you need to see just your downloaded apps, click the “Apps” tab at the top of the page. After identifying the app for which you want a refund, click the “Report a Problem” button next to it. At this point, a new drop-down menu will appear. Select the reason you are. In case you purchased an iPhone app by mistake or it does not work properly you can claim a refund from Apple by using this tutorial. Apple cares a lot about its customers and if you have a genuine reason then you will be able to return the iPhone app and get refund.
- Go to reportaproblem.apple.com.
- Sign in with your Apple ID and password.
- If you see the 'Report' or 'Report a Problem' button next to the item that you want to request a refund for, click it.
- Follow the instructions on the page to choose the reason why you want a refund and submit your request.
If you can't request a refund on reportaproblem.apple.com
If the charge is pending, you canʼt request a refund yet. After the charge goes through, try to request a refund again.
If you have an unpaid order, you need to pay for that order before you request a refund. You might need to update your payment information.
